JIM FLIPPIN

Listing Agent

Jim Flippin has been licensed since 2006 and brings nearly 20 years of real-world experience to the table—but don’t expect the stereotypical “Hollywood” real estate agent. Friends and clients alike call Jim the non-realtor Realtor—the kind of professional who’s more likely to talk you out of buying a house than into one if it’s not the right move.

At his core, Jim is a true advocate for people. He takes himself out of the equation entirely, because for him, it’s never about “winning” a deal—it’s about doing what’s genuinely in the best interest of his clients. That mindset fuels his reputation as a master negotiator who loves the art of the deal, not for ego, but for outcomes. His goal is simple: protect his clients, put their needs first, and squeeze every possible dollar of equity for them when it matters most.

Jim’s approach is refreshingly straightforward, grounded, and honest—an intentional departure from flashy sales tactics and pressure-driven decisions. His clients trust him because he tells them the truth, even when it’s not what they expect to hear.

Originally from Joplin, Jim was inspired to enter real estate by his own Realtor, a decision that ultimately led him to build a career centered on advocacy and integrity. When he’s not working, Jim is a proud “Grunkle” to two great nieces—a five-year-old and a one-and-a-half-year-old—who keep life entertaining and perspective intact.

A student of history and an avid traveler, Jim gravitates toward the East Coast—Boston, Philadelphia, and Maine in particular—while also appreciating iconic destinations like San Francisco. Yellowstone, however? A little too perfect. (He still suspects Disney had something to do with it.)

If you’re looking for someone who puts people over pressure, strategy over hype, and honesty over headlines, Jim Flippin may be exactly the kind of Realtor you didn’t know you needed.
